I owe a lot to the album Burials by AFI -- it got me through probably the toughest break-up of my life and influenced the tone of this song. I wanted to take their song "I Hope You Suffer" a bit further, to "I Want to *Make* You Suffer (and I'm enlisting the help of my new vampire boyfriend)"
As for the title, I almost went with something else cause I didn't want people to make a mental association with Fifty Shades of Grey... but, in the end, I couldn't resist the AT reference.
Look forward to hearing this song at upcoming S.S. HANAMI shows. It's an upbeat EDM track with lots of glitter on it.
